Hi everyone!!! I'm finally back to my original weight although it's distributed a bit differently. Bottom half is a size smaller than the top half!!!This is down to boobs not deflating as much as they should...weird! Plus, in 5 weeks time, I'm having a bit of work done on the ole face so want them to take up as much slack up as possible so I'm going to try and get to a lower weight before then!!! Hope everyone else is fighting fit and healthy xxx

I wish - but we haven't been able to get a badminton court for months (the clubs have sort of taken over the sports centre with block-booking and the club we used to go to stopped going!)..... and we've sort of stopped trying now so I'm just cross-training and running lots with the odd stretchy workout DVD. (And we did a 10 mile walk on Monday in the lake district )

My boobs are finally going down a bit again - I was bra-shopping today and got measured, I'm down a cup size (although thankfully MadCatMan doesn't mind TOO much hehe!) I'm glad cos carrying those things around with me was getting to be a workout in itself!

Are you still running into nets and hitting shuttle cocks with your head as well running?

I bought size 12 jeans the other month. I can do them up .. and everything, but just a bit to tight still. I'm getting there ... or rather, getting into them

OK I DEFINITELY agree about the exercise - I now aim to do at least 3 hrs fairly intense cardio per week - which I'm really enjoying especially since I've started running.

AND......I'm sitting here wearing those Next jeans I mentioned a couple of posts ago! They're a BIT tight, but as this is the first time in a year and a half I've actually been able to get the past my thighs (they're done up and everything!) they are STAYING on hehe!

Finally .... I am lighter than when I quit smoking. Took a while (me being lazy) but I've got there Thanks to exercise, cycling and Pilate's, I'm not only lighter by 3 or 4 lbs but I'm a size down compared to when I quit.

I honestly feel that some weight gain was due to a slowing down of the metabolism and not overindulgence of wine, crisps and general eating.

Be sensible with looking after your quit, once that is solid then diet and any gain may well adjust itself, but aided with exercise, that adjustment will be sooner, not later

The love handles are being kept back in line for now haha! I'm about to give them a good jiggling on the cross trainer now in case they get any more ideas above their station......

I STILL haven't lost any weight - I HAVE changed shape though and am generally less wobbly, could be cos I NEVER exercised when I smoked - not even slightly! (Apart from running for a bus every now and again which would almost kill me...)

The good news is - that nice size 10 top I bought optimistically now fits and I've worn it a few times! The size 12 floaty number I also got at the same time cos it was in the sale and the material looked nice - well that looks absolutely RIDICULOUS and I have no idea what I was thinking......no matter what size it is or I am!

Love handles? How's about love banisters in my case?

Finally I'm finding it easier to loose the weight. Yes yes, I could have started in earnest to shed it earlier ... wasn't in the mood, then something just clicked. I think for me it has taken a while for my metabolism to stabilise ... that mixed with can't be ****dness.

I put on 1 stone after quitting then half a stone during the winter as is my norm.
Sine Jan have lost a stone just over .... plan to be pre quit weight by mid April (another 6 off) and then more off by end June, a total of 2+ by end Aug.

Have a good amnt of cylcing planned both for exercise and for touring and have finally got round to putting to use the badminton racket and shuttle cocks I was bought for Xams 09 Ooops.

Really enjoyed throwing away (recycling) my fat quit clothes I bought. I've also taken up Pilate's ... works really really well.

MCW .... hows your love handles?

Ok ok I KNEW it - my love handles are now trying their best to stage a mutiny.

First it was the injury, then just when I thought it was better it came back with a vengeance, and being a leg I couldn't really do much!
Then just as it was nicely rested, I managed one little cross trainer workout.... then came down with the blimmin MAN FLU.
So that's nearly a month with NO exercise...but I'm making up for it now and have been on the cross trainer enough to power a small country (about the size of my love handles anyway...) this week.

I will NOT let the love handles have their wicked way - they've been talking to my muffin top! And I WILL wear my nice dark blue size 8 jeans from Next again - I WILL!!!!
(And I got a size 10 top on Monday that's a bit too tight, I want to be wearing it comfortably by the end of the month!).
