Survived day 11. My gp confirmed that these were some of the less experienced side effects. Kicking the habit without champix going forward.

Wow, you've done the best thing coming off them. You maybe able to get a lower dosage from your Dr/Surgery. I had very little in the way of side effects; okay, some nausea but overcame that with two bananas and pint of water. My sleep was disturbed and I did get one or two more vivid dreams but that was it really. I'd already told myself it wouldn't be easy and I'd suffer all sorts of effects and was prepared for the worst.
Yours sound more serious than anything I experienced so I would def seek professional advice. And Mario ... Best of luck and hopefully you'll be able to continue to breath free !!!

I stopped taking champix as I am experiencing some funny side effects. Firstly, I can't sleep (but I know there are many reported cases and it is mentioned in the pamphlet so it was not unextected). What does bother me is the fact I suddenly can't focus on small text, ie reading the newspaper or magazine is alost impossible - all I see is blurry characters. I had 20/20 vision 2 days ago?!?

Bigger fonts (like paragrpahs headings) is no problem. The further the viewing distance the better. Its like my eyes are suddenly all lazy.

I also have the "shakes" in my hands and forearms, which I never had before. Are these known/common side effect?

Right, lesson learnt, I won't be volunteering to take any of my friends dogs for walks. Wait, I've just realised, my wife (who still smokes) has agreed to look after her friends dog in August. Been 17 days of fresh air so far and looking forward to many, many more.
BIG WELL DONE MARIO ... feels good hey?

I took my mates dog out so she could go to the looo. Forgot about her for a moment and she jumpted the fence. We looked for her for ages but it was 3-4 days before she came back. I felt so shi*ty and stressed that I had a smoke. One turned into a few and then so on and so forth. When I was here in 2011 there was a saying; No, not one. Not ever.
I have learned the hard way and wont be making that mistake again!
