Hi Sandy. Nice to see you're still with us. Don't apologise on his behalf, nor that you were friends with him. We didn't see eye to eye, and then he overstepped the mark by becoming personal. I, for one, am glad he's hopefully gone as he made me contemplate wavering in my quit. I have no idea about the ban as I haven't been contacted by the mods about it. Hopefully the rest of us on here will continue to support each other, and all the newbies who hopefully will be joining us on saturday. Just seems a shame that there doesn't seem to be very many of us NAS group left, but unfortunately I think that's par for the course. My DH doesn't understand why I come on here all the time either. He's not had any bad cravings since he quit at the end of Sept (lucky *******!!).

Hi Sandy thanks for the good wishes, the year does eventually arrive LOL dont know how long his ban will stand, best to ask Mods on that one, as long as your quit is strong thats all that matters.

Hey Amy, My qllergies are not too bad- I have a Harry potter thimg called pompholyx which is hideous blisters on the soles of my feet and that is better at present- partly because my skin is much less dry since I stopped smoking and partly because I dont stay up smoking till all hours and then have to creep into bed in the dark- I go at a reasonable time and I can cream my feet properly. But I am scared of motorways and driving in snow is a nonono for me. Everything is going to get better, because life is is better without poison, I hope..

Hiya sandy just read your reply to itsinthegenes question about smoking and asthma. So sorry your peanut allergy has got more sensitive lately. I just wanted to let you know that i too am scared of flying, driving on motorway (had bad crash) etc and have had problem with anxiety etc. Smoking did used to help me feel in control - it was like a comfort blanket cos i could say to myself dont think bout it everythings ok youve got your cig!! Does that make any sense!! I just though id send you a quick message to let you know how ive tried to sort out allergies (mine are skin allergies and asthma) and anxiety. I got mild immunosuppressant tablets from doctors to help my immune system get more stable and also got propranolol (relaxants) for anxiety - you can take them as and when you need to or when you feel anxiety building in your stomach. Also tried meditation for 10 mins a day and now i feel so much calmer and more in control than i ever did as a smoker. Youre doing really well!!! HUGE well done!! Let me know how the allergies and anxiety are doing in the future. Good luck x x x x amy x x x
