Hello Dottie sorry if I confused you. You firstly must have a honest desire to stop and to be doing it for youself not others. It's one thing wishing you could stop smoking as opposed to needing to stop. They're two different animals and I rather suspect that you would like to stop smoking rather than wanting to stop. Liking is the easy option wanting is the difficult one does that make any more sense to you. I my case I needed to stop as it was killing me. The NHS didn't send a smoking cessation advisor to my bedside in the coronary care unit because I would have liked to stop smoking. I needed to stop smoking and with the wake up call of being in hospital I then wanted and needed to stop
Am I making any more sense? Don't hesitate to continue this discussion if you feel the need to
Regards

Hello Dottie12,
Time to throw in the towel. You've said to yourself that you have
a problem with cigarettes but not admitted it. Otherwise you
wouldn't be posting on a stop smoking forum, Don't let the
addiction tell you that you haven't got an addiction that's what your
doing.
Hi,
I am on day two using 25mg patches. This is my thousandth attempt at quitting and I just want to succeed.
Is there anyone else like me who knows all there is to know about quitting but can not seem to manage it?
