    Hi Louise,
I removed a couple of pics but left some, did plan on updating but removed and then forget to update with a couple of newer ones ..... can't you see any at all?

Good to hear your sticking with the gym............ you bunny
Hope it helps kick start something positive with loss and feeling better.

The cycle ride nearly killed my legs the second night but I'd do it again.... I think

Any plans for more summer trips anywhere?

Great to hear all went so well and so much easier to manage than you thought. I bet not having those niggling wants and then the realisation that you could do it made your days out there so much more enjoyable.
Up at 6 in the mornings? Why, because of the distance to get places? Did you get to see the Sphinx and the major pyramids?

So, do you now feel more confident with your quit do after having conquered that major trigger? Sounds to me we should definitely start planning on a lovely bottle of the very best for the Penthouse then:-)
You may not have lost any weight but did you put any on? If you came back the same then that's pretty good, even if you were walking plenty. For me my typical eating more than doubles when on holiday, don't know about you but I'm pleased if I return at the same weight.
How was your daughter? I bet it was lovely catching up with her.
    See you later xx

Gosh your lad certainly has work ethic but understand your concern over Alevels. well Pol my pal heres looking forward to that bottle of wine in the penthouse.

I'm a nit. Posted your message to myself.........

    Hi Louise
Don't worry about posting negative stuff, it's how you feel and it's no way a moan.
I don't think anyone could say hand on heart that they can go somewhere like that and be fine about it. Worries are normal and at this stage in the quit, I'd be surprised if you felt completey fine about it. Weight doesn't help and holiday shopping for new clothes and not finding it enjoyable doesn't help............. but try and remember the positives about this. Why your doing this, how made up yr daughter will be, and if you did fall off the wagon, and started your quit after 5 or 6 days of smoking, how crap it would be going through all the withdrawal again. Does your OH smoke?

My OH has eased up for now. James (son) has reduced his part time jobs down from two on just the one job which means he's working 2 sometimes 3 nights some weeks instead of 4 or 5 nights which with A levels was to much. Now he's moaning about being skint and not being able to run his motor. Tough is what I think....... Dad's will help him out a bit, maybe. Kids!!!!

Maybe you could make a little list (or long depending) of benefits you've felt and put it in your purse to take with you. It's something I'd do but then not look at the list ;-)

Should things go awry, just don't vanish without a trace. Let us (or me) know and make the decision to go for it again at some point.
This does not give you permission of course and I have faith and a bottle of wine that says you'll find it hard but you'll do it.
    xx

Hi, yes, bad days sometimes with me too but definitely not as often.
I hope you hear again soon from daughter and all is well again. Hmmmm, modern technology can be to dam clever at times. Having heard your daughter has a bug, your now waiting with far less patience, for an update. Hope, like you said, it's nothing more than a 24hr bug and may have gone now. My sons a bugger. He'll tell me he's unwell and because I don't want to keep 'asking/nagging' I'll wait for him to update, and wait and wait.... I finally call or text only to hear he's great and has been fine for x amount of time!!

My wine consumption has decreased now but no exercise still. I have a new badminton racket, some shuttle cocks, new pumps .......... just not got round to booking a court each week and playing..... well, I say playing...... more lots of missing and picking up of shuttle ****.
I've stopped gaining but it's hard to shift it back off. I'm hoping spring and some gardening will help.
All the best to you and staying strong in your quit too.

Hi Louise, how are things with you? Hope all is good and no craves coming your way, or at least nothing you can't brush away and dismiss easily. Hope too that all is well with your daughter and she's good and contacting you as and when.
Hows the eating and fitness regime going for Feb so far?
    Your Pal Pol x

Haha, I bought some white wine to go with some fish and a white wine cream herb sauce ..... now OH has suggested an Indian take-away....... guess that means there's more wine now -)
Sleeping still a bugger for you? Mines getting better now but took a while. Last night I had my first smoking dream. i think I was drunk in the dream (went to bed a bit tipsy) and suddenly (like it happens in dreams) I cursing and passing a roll up to my OH and I'm not sure (due to being drunk in the dream) if I took a drag or not. Not surprising i suppose to have dreamt about smoking as it had been on my mind a lot for the first time in a while.
Have a great evening, sleep well and stay with your strong quit.
What are your 'printing classes'? What does that involve? xx

Hi there, yes, much better today thanks. No scarf on today with it's faint old odour which I feel may help. How are you with craves? More often that you'd like or pleasingly rare?
That for me came out the blue a bit but I guess those will happen now and then but less and less over time.
I'm sure your daughter will be fine and have a rewarding time out there but yes, I'd be worried too and wanting contact of some sort now and then. Is she able to get messages to you from there at all? Just think, on her return you'll pretty much be Half A Year Quit - wow, sounds good. xx

Have you still got loads of snow about the place? We have and I'm soooooo bored and sick of it now. I've not had to go out that much luckily but it will be nice to see some colour outside again. I bet your sons feeling really bad given how long this snow has been around plus the icy conditions we had before Xmas.... this extended bad spell really must have bought home to him the loss of a 4wd.

I had to chuckle at you saying about middle aged people and swimming clubs and certain memberships during the day at gyms..... I catch myself thinking and picturing exactly the same kind of image. Oooops -) However, I do believe our generation on the whole is much fitter and younger looking than that of people 35+ years ago. We are not Norah Batties and we don't have tweed and crimpolene and all the restricted styles and looks of that generation thank goodness.
Roll on nicer warmer weather as that will help with exercise for me when i get digging over the veg plots. Oh, just remembered the accompanying back ache..... somethings don't change with being in your 40's do they?
